Use a Phone Recorder To Combat Peer Pressure And Possibly Dangerous Situations

I bought a telephone recorder some years back because I would have liked to stay abreast of my step boy. My hubby and I were recently married and I was acclimating to the life of a new family and a teenage son. I was under the impression that having a telephone recorder would help me to stay abreast of my sons coming and goings especially since he used to be a tiny defiant at the time.

The decision to use a Link1 was a perfect solution. We were taught that our boy was spending time with the incorrect click. This click was involved in a drugs and alcohol lifestyle . My man and I do not drink and he had modeled non drinking behavior for most of my boys life so it took us by surprise. Throwing it to teenage anger we talked to him about making right selections and pointed out on the newspaper every time there had been a drinking related accident, quoting how destructive drinking is. All of the while we kept reviewing his recorded conversations.

He made some moves and began to distance himself from these kids although not quick enough. From recording the calls we learned that a party that drinking was going to be taking place was going on saturday. He was apprehensive of attending, but when pushed by his buddy he agreed to show up. He asked us on a Thursday if he may borrow the car that Saturday. We conceeded to let him borrow the automobile hoping that he would change his plans, but he didnt. On Saturday night we sat him down and made public to him that we had a telephone recorder in effect. His first reaction was anger at not being trusted. As we talked we said to him that everybody makes wrong choices and we were not going to leave it to peer pressure for him to live or die or take someone else’s life.

I’m sure that not everyone will agree with our choice to employ a telephone recorder. I know that because we used a call recorder my partner and I’ve been in a position to steer our child away from some most likely damaging scenarios. It’s been an excellent and straightforward tool to protect our child.
