Is there such a thing as a cd to mp3 type car transmitter or adapter?

I have a 2001 Chevy Blazer with the stock CD player radio…
I need a cheap easy way to play music off my mp3 player but I do not want to use a FM transmitter…
I do NOT have a tape player therefore I cannot use a tape adapter…
Is there such a thing as an adapter that goes in the CD player and connects to my mp3 player so that I can play the music on it…??
(A few people I know said they had heard of it but from my personal experience and knowledge of electronics I question whether or not its possible)

Easiest thing in the world to do is to get a $100 head unit with aux. port. Other than that, there is not really a practical way to do this.

BTW, @ SonicElectronx, they have a Blaupunkt London head unit for less than $100 and they will include a harness, installation kit and antenna adapter with purchase for free. It is a nice deck, I have one in my truck.

Will the zoom h2 recorder be good for band recording? I play drums and i dont hav drum mics currently so will the recorder pickup the sound well? I had a crappy 60$ voice recorder and the drums sounded like blocks and bricks will this b tha same?

John – The Zoom should work fine. You just need to keep an eye on the recording levels on the Zoom. Don’t overload it – adjust the record level down if necessary.

Is a digital converter even worth having?

I have cable and don’t need the converter box, but all my TVs are analog. I have the coupon for a converter box but now I can’t decide whether to get it or not. I have read good and bad reviews online from people who have bought these boxes. Most problems with them is that they are running hot, the remote doesn’t work or doesn’t control everything, (VCR/DVD) the box itself doesn’t work, and the audio/video didn’t improve. Some of these reviews are for top brands. Is it just better to get a digital TV than the converter box?

As long as you continue to subscribe to cable you shouldn’t need a converter box at all, even after February 2009.
It’s my understanding that converter boxes are only needed by those people who have analog TVs that receive broadcasts thru the air waves (not satellite, not cable, just free broadcast TV) and don’t plan to get a digital TV to use after Feb 2009.
As long as you have cable you shouldn’ need a converter box unless for some reason you want to have broadcast TV available after Feb 2009.
For now I wouldn’t spend the money for a converter box, but remember,if you do decide to buy one using the coupons, the coupons expire 6 months after you ask for them, so don’t wait too long.
