Can I play movies saved from an external hard drive to sony portable dvd player?
Exact model is Sony DVP-FX950 9-Inch Portable DVD Player.
I’m trying not to carry a bag full of dvds, just the external hard drive…
Saved movies on your external hard disk cannot be played on any DVD player.

When I playback videos via a flat screen tv monitor
there is no color
How can I get it to playback in color?
Also – how do i record tv programs?
If it plays colour on your laptop then it is a copy protection method called macrovision preventing proper playback on external devices.
